A REAL Burns Supper

Soil Association Scotland are teaming up with the REAL (Real Education Active Lives) project at Inverness High School to host an organic Burns Supper in January, with recitals, speeches, music and dancing; and an ‘Immortal Memory’ served up by author and broadcaster Jimmie MacGregor.

Fort William Mountain Festival - Wild Writing Competition

This year Fort William Mountain Festival and John Muir Trust are running Writing Competitions   They are looking for a piece of writing on a wild place.  This can incorporate a journey or expedition on land or water, real or fictional, an exploration of a remote place, a climb, a walk, a river, a loch, a mountain.  The competition will be judged by Cameron McNeish and Jim Perrin.  The winning piece of writing will be published in the John Muir Trust Journal
