Visual Artists Award Scheme
UPDATE

This scheme is jointly funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the Scottish Arts Council.  Launched in October 2000, it has available a budget of £6,000 for 2003/4.  For details on the Visual Artists Award Scheme click here.

Susan Baker, Whitebridge, Inverness shire: £200 to assist with the costs of visiting Copenhagen to give a talk and research exhibition opportunities

Gillian Jones, Cromarty: £400 to assist with the costs undertaking a training programme in the techniques of ‘safe etching’.

Olwen Shone, North Uist: £400 to assist with the costs of preparing an exhibition to be shown at a number of Scottish venues.

Kay Greer, Tain: £500 to assist with the costs of a visit to Australia to work with Neil Cameron.

Clare Galloway, Burghead, Moray: £200 to assist with the costs of framing and transporting work for an exhibition at Art.tm.

Calum Hall, Julie Thomson, and Kate Carruthers, Mull: £300 to assist with the costs of preparing work for an exhibition at An Tobar.

Simon Fildes, Newtonmore: £300 to assist with the transport and subsistence costs of a research project towards a major video installation.

Elaine Smith, Elgin, £200 to assist with the costs of transporting work to Glasgow, and visiting galleries there

Mary Rosengren, Fort William, £250, to assist with visiting London to develop new projects.

Gavin Lockhart, Skerray, £500 to assist with the costs of preparing the video element of a collaboration with Morag Wightman.
